Conference "Practical Training on Cognitive Function Test Assessment"

The Vietnam Alzheimer and Cognitive Disorders Association initiated a series of practical activities to raise awareness and improve early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease in the community. On March 25, 2023, the association organised cognitive assessment sessions locally, particularly in Can Tho - a city renowned for its unique cultural characteristics and the hospitality of the people from the Mekong Delta region. Can Tho, located in the heart of the Mekong Delta, is not only the rice granary of the country but also a promising location for community health care efforts.

The program included introducing cognitive tests to help detect early signs of cognitive decline. The association’s experts also provided detailed guidance on conducting these tests, assisting local doctors to become familiar with and apply them effectively in their examinations.

The workshop on simulated patient assessments was an essential part of the program - a practical training method that allowed doctors to experience and handle simulated clinical scenarios. The doctors in Can Tho participated enthusiastically and showed a deep interest in enhancing their skills in diagnosing and treating Alzheimer’s disease.

After a day of active and practical work, the conference concluded successfully. The event not only provided local doctors with new knowledge and skills but also contributed to increasing awareness and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease in the Can Tho community.
